Deep and looming, the lyrics remind us to be fully aware that we're living in the end times. Often spaced out, in the old sense of the word, the group sounds somewhat similar to Pink Floyd or the Alan Parsons Project. Soulful, yet bleak, Repeten paints the anticipation of Armageddon. Soon, we may have a very important choice to make. The anti-christ is on the horizon and will bring absolute peace for its first 3 and a half years, but don't be charmed, because the last half of its 7-year reign will be truly "beastly." Yet, we'll be O.K. with Jesus Christ in our hearts.

"Repeten" is, in this application of the word, a mathematical term used to describe a number that repeats, endlessly, after a decimal point. For instance, 1 divided by 3 (as in The Trinity of God) is .3333333, etc., while 2 divided by 3 would be a possibly evil .6666666, etc. Of course the only number mentioned in The Holy Bible, as being the number of the beast is 666, "the number of a man" (only 3 sixes, not an infinite extension of them). In these times, we really owe it to ourselves, our souls, to read up on this end-times routine, and the number of the beast, as well as the mark of the beast. Prophecy is being fulfilled everyday. Let's get real. This stuff is happenning. Don't put your head in the sand, like an ostrach trying to hide from an atomic bomb.

However, The Holy Bible says Jesus Christ will be taking us "like a thief in the night." Quickly and unexpectedly. Many main-stream Christians believe he'll be back just before any BIG tribulations/catastrophes/accidents. If you're afraid to read The Book of Revelation, be advised that "Blessed" are the people who read/remember that section of The Bible.

The man who writes Repeten's lyrics, Derek Turner, is also an actor! See his 2-part, 12-minute, award-winning film, by clicking on the video tab, at the top of the page. A film for all ages, "PIMPY" is about an odd, but pleasant young man. Jon Blackstone (lead vocalist for Repeten's Guarding the Gold) plays the title role, and Derek plays his father, Hemmy. DT is also a radio suspense actor for "Twilight Zone"-like episodes of Jim French's IMAGINATION THEATRE. Turner specializes in bizarre roles, sometimes including characters that have the potential to save or destroy the world! Press Release: Seattle's REPETEN releases their first CD, "Dreaming," 3 songs, including FIREFLIES, GUARDING THE GOLD, and UNBREAKABLE. It's psychedelic music for the people wondering if we're near the end. Or, it could very well be said, the beginning!

The Apocalypse may be sooner than we previously expected. Jesus may be returning at any second, so we're giving gentle, musical reminders not to fall into the traps of the anti-christ.

Sure, REPETEN is a Christian band, but much more than that. It's truly trippy. Down-tempo, Pink Floydish, in nature, with mind-bending lyrics, REPETEN often speaks to a kind of hopelessness that people have. To those who haven't been solidly told that we have a way out of this mess which we call today's world.

We try not to "hit you over the head with The Bible," but a small mention of Armageddon, or the like, can go a long way towards considering one's future. Jesus will arrive suddenly and without warning. No one will know what day nor what hour he'll come back. Not even Jesus, Himself, knows. Only The Father can say when Jesus Christ will return.

Until then, we may have some very rough times to go through. Tribulations, such as earthquakes, famine, riots, nuclear fall-out? Perhaps. Maybe not. The Bible is somewhat vague as to whether or not saved individuals will be spared the turmoils and pains. But this we do know. That He'll never give us more than we can handle. He's told us that in The Holy Bible, very plainly. And He never breaks His promises.
