thee the desires of your heart. Gospel recording artist and songwriter
Alicia Ellison Grant has been singing gospel since the age of five. She
is a native of Walterboro, South Carolina. She is the daughter of Jessie
and King Ellison Jr. Alicia has always had a desire to sing gospel
music. She told her mother when she was very young that she would become
a gospel singer. That was many years ago and the dream never died.
Alicia has shared the stage with Regina Bell, Damita Hadon, James
Fortune, Trecinda Payne, Calvin Suggs, Gerald Hinton, Wes Morgan and
many others.
Alicia is an ordained minister she was licensed in 1995.
She also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Barber-Scotia
College with a major in Business Administration concentration in
Marketing. She is the wife of Calvin Grant and the mother of three
beautiful children. Alicia is also a humanitarian. She volunteer's with
several agencies in the community and has also been appointed by the
Durham City Council to serve on one of their advisory boards. She
founded and hosted a local television program. Alicia had an opportunity
to allow many gospel artists to share their gift of ministry. This
program aired for four years. Alicia has written and recorded a southern
gospel song entitled "Fear Not." This song is being played in the US, UK
and in Canada.
Alicia also wrote and recorded her latest single "Brave
Soldiers of the USA." This single was written in honor of our troops.
Half of the proceeds from this single will benefit the USO of North
Carolina. This single is available for digital download on cdbaby.com/cd/aegrant.
Alicia sang her tribute on November 11,2008 at the State Fairgrounds in
Raleigh, North Carolina at the Annual Veterans Day Briefing. This
ceremony was officated by Congressmens David Price, Bob Etheridge and
Brad Miller. Alicia has performed on several occasions at the Raleigh
State Capitol. She will also be performing her single "Brave Soldiers of
the USA" at the 2009 Raleigh State Fair in North Carolina. Alicia states
that she is very excited about what the Lord is doing in and through her
