Bee’s first release as a member of the “Young Boyz” sold over 14,000 copies and got radio play on both local major stations KATZ-100.3 and FOXY-95.5. A phenomenal response came from the Boyz new sound and their fan base grew rapidly. They became local celebrities, literally. The Young Boyz were forced to be home schooled, as they became distractions as students.
As the Young Boyz buzz began to evolve, legendary New York DJ/producer Marley Marl who was instrumental in the careers of Eric B. Rakim and Boogie Down Productions moved the boys to New York where they stayed for a year honing their skills with him. When the year was over Bee knew he was ready to embark on his dream of becoming a solo artist.
Bee formed a production team and released the single featuring, Jibbs (“Chain Hang Low”) and Lil Fizz (B2K) and again local radio stations both took notice and put the song in rotation. While continuously making music Bee’s most recent project was brought to the attention of NFL Pro Bowl selection and Green Bay Packer, Nick Barnett. After hearing Bee’s music, Barnett who is a notable DJ/producer himself felt compelled to create an avenue to bring Bee to the masses, thus Clarity Music Group was formed. “If This is The Mixtape, Imagine the Album” is the first preview of Bee’s work to come on Clarity Music Group. Bee recently shot a video for his first single “You Ain’t Got No Money” directed by TAJ who has worked with Rihanna, Nas, and Ne-Yo. January 2010 Clarity Music Group is prepping to release Bee’s full-length album, Stadium Music featuring production from Da Band Camp and Traxx Squad.
Bee sacrificed his entire childhood as a normal teenager when most would chose fun over work. Bee chose the studio each and every time. Bee was born for greatness, and feels as though Clarity Music Group is the vehicle that will enable his music and life-long dream to be brought to the world.
