Proudly “Kick Ass Country” Independent

Raised in the small town of Dalby Queensland Kerry’s love for music started when he was given his first guitar at the age of 10. with his fathers love for country music and his brothers taste in rock, he was always going to be a country rocker.

In 1989 Kerry founded Double Barrel, a classy little duo mainly playing around the Gold Coast, but in 1990 he decided he would change direction and start the Double Barrel band, From 1990 to 1995 the band toured extensively throughout Queensland and N.S.W. playing at mostly B and S balls and out back hotels.

In 1996 the band released their first album entitled “Australia’s Most Wanted”, this all original album was the turning point for the band. In 1997 Kerry was a finalist in the prestigious Star Maker at Tamworth and had also been placed in the top 5 for his song writing ability in the Queensland sunnie awards.

The band once again took to the road and in 1999 they began taking their music across the Tasman to New Zealand, and received great recognition from their crowds

They were asked back in 2000 to welcome the new millennium in at the Napier R.S.A. and later that year they made a return visit to perform at the Gisbourne music festival in that same year Bundaburg Rum recruited the boys to be the official band for the upcoming Bundaburg Bull Riding Series. This took them all around Queensland playing in Toowoomba, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Gold Coast and finishing off at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, where the backed Australian legends Ian Moss and Lee Kernagahan 2000 was also a great year for Kerry’s song writing where he was placed in the top 5 for his beautiful song “Glass Of Wine” he also released a song entitled “Single Tear’ for the S.I.Ds foundation to raise money and awareness for the foundation.

In 2001 the band were travelling a lot of the time between New Zealand, New Caledonia and Vanuatu , they were at all the Major Festivals including the Gympie Muster and the world Known Tamworth Country Festival.

2003 the band got news form Switzerland that their song “Glass Of Wine” was one of the most requested songs through out the year and were asked to perform at the Uster Country music spectacular in March 2004 .

2004 the band released their third album “Goin Home” which reach number 7 on most the radio’s stations around the nation, and in March they set off on there first European tour.

After a successful tour they band decided to take a well earned break, and in the middle of 2005 the band split and went there own separate way, still playing at Tamworth and major festivals.

In July 2006 the band got the urge to reform and released there fourth album “The Moods About To Change’.

After a great Tamworth Festival 2007 the band got an unexpected call from the organizers in Switzerland and were asked back in 2008 to perform at their major festival, as well as a tour into Germany with young gun Tommy Roberts jr .

So far the band is on track the music is still pumping the crowds are still turning up, and the band is still having a ball.
