A salute to all those who love music.
My passion for music began at the age of 15, therefore 34 years ago when I first heard the Commodores on the radio. This is where my great passion for Funky music came from, which I’ve cultivated through the years, researching and always buying more and more records and always reading lots of music magazines.
From Johnny Guitar Watson to Wild Cherry, Brick Parliament, Kool and the Gang along with many others.
In 1979, 4 years later, you could count more than a thousand Funky and Rap records on my book shelf.
All this enormous sacrifice and haven given up other things, was all worth it in order to enrich my magical world of music.
The sensation was wonderful, an intoxicating perfume emanated each time I opened a new record and placed the needle of my record player on it, I felt like it was a first date with a new experience. I spent most of my Saturday afternoons at Number Ne, a record store on the Avenue in Viareggio, where all Dj’s went to compare records. This is where I could listen to new Funky, Rap, Disco etc record releases. A few months later a dear friend of mine opened a broadcasting radio station.
I was certainly then never without records and so I began my radio experience.
Then in 1980 I was in a serious car accident whereby I was going to be “blocked” for at least a year, but my strength was in music and I couldn’t break away from it. So with great effort and help from my friends who would come and pick me up at home, I was then able to continue going on-air at the radio and so continue to nourish my passion.
From 1983 to 1990 I dedicated my time to remixing Funk and Rap groups, experimenting a little with scratching with Funk including Rap choruses, which brought me to do things out of the ordinary for that time, in fact there was nothing like it happening in Italy at all.
In the meantime my musical collection continued to grow until the end of the nineties, and I began to feel the strong need to experience music in my own personal style and this is where I began creating music.
I bought everything I needed: synthesizer, electric drums etc.
This is how I commenced the pursuit of my musical fantasy and almost simultaneously the dream of sharing my musical sensations with everyone began.
Today all this has become possible and was influenced by the support of a great creative person, a designer who manages to create a record cover as if it were the visual instance representing the heart of the song.
Today, If I’m known at all in this market, its thanks to him, Ariuna.
