The Ramblin Dawgs formed in late 2007, making waves throughout the music community with energetic rock driven modern blues performances. Currently driven by Carlos “C-Dawg” DC’s soulful vocals and guitar playing, Raul DC’s thunderous drumming, Charlie Saraeceno's screaming Hammond organ, and Jonas Landau’s rock solid grooves on bass, the Ramblin Dawgs enjoyed great success with their debut EP, "Rockin Blues" released in January 2009. Exhibiting a Classic Rock, Blues and Funk influence with an original modern twist, The CD/EP received rave reviews as well as Radio Airplay throughout the 50 States and across the seas and has peaked as high as number 7 on CMJ Radio Station Charts. Since the CD's release, the band's MySpace page has blown up with over 25,000 fans, 90,000 Song Plays and over 3,000 comments.
The Ramblin Dawgs new 11 song CD "Shoot Em Up" is now available through Dawg Pound Records. The CD features 10 originals and the band's up beat rendition of BB King's "The Thrill is Gone" that is sure to please traditional blues as well as modern rock and Album Oriented Rock fans. If you like Clapton, BB King, Jimi Hendrix, Derek Trucks, Buddy Guy, rock and/or blues, you'll love the Ramblin Dawgs. |

If you take the sounds of Southern Rock, Blues, and Classic Rock and were to merge them all together, the outcome would sound like the Ramblin Dawgs. They have created a fantastic sound that fuses elements of Blues and Rock into melodious tunes. If you are a fan of BB King and Eric Clapton, then you are going to flip over the Ramblin Dawgs.
One of the biggest appeals to the band's music is their classic 70's/80's style that works perfectly with their Rock and Blues flavor. C-Dawg is the strongest point to the band's appeal as his soulful rugged voice blends nicely with his bluesy guitars. Add Raul DC's rhythmic drumming, Charlie's breathless Piano & Organ skills/ and Jonas Landau's dynamic bass and you have one winning band.
Ramblin Dawgs' Rockin Blues is the perfect fusion of Blues and Rock flavored with bluesy soulful vocals, out of this world drumming, and intense bass that will have you begging from more of this talented group. The CD is well worth its weight and gold. I give “Rockin Blues” an outstanding A+

Fancy a little blues and funk rock? Then check out NJ’s excellent Ramblin Dawgs who have a brand new EP out called “Rockin Blues.” It’s three tracks and we kick off with the grooving “Steppin Up.” Right away we’re greeted with cool Hammond Keys and soulful raspy vocals from C-Dawg who also handles the guitars. This is a seriously cool song and reminds me of so many bands from Joe Bonamassa to Eric Clapton through to Richie Kotzen, Bad Company and loads more. Perfect for radio! “You Let Me Down” is a slower melodic blues ditty. The guitar work smokes and is very much in the vein of Gary Moore and Robin Trower. Really impressive playing. Next up is the boogie woogie swagger of “Worse Without You.” This is another strong song in the Jeff heally vein with obvious influences of Eric Clapton showcasing through.
This is a very very good EP. I Look forward to their full length CD. It’s going to be amazing!

The Ramblin Dawgs energetic three song EP “Rockin Blues,” is full of classic 70’s/80’s blues tone we all love and remember. The first single, “Steppin Up” is a wonderful throw back to the sound of the Fabulous Thunderbirds with some dirty guitar work by Carlos “C-Dawg” DC. “You Let Me Down” also showcases “C-Dawg’s” Clapton infused playing and lets us hear the band jam out some soulful, slow tempo blues. Closing out the three single EP is “Worse Without You,” a Chicago style blues number with solid chord progressions and guitar driven riffs and solo.
The band as a whole is extremely talented, but Carlos’ guitar skills stand out amongst anything else on this disc and deserve to be noticed. If you like Clapton or that old school Chicago blues sound, then “Rockin Blues” is a great CD to add to your collection.

Chock full of blues riffage and vocals. “Steppin UP” sounds like a lost classic Cream/Clapton song, while “You Let Me Down” is abviously a homage to BB King’s musical style. Closing the EP is “Worse Without You” which reminds me of a Buddy Guy type number. Ramblin Dawgs clearly have a passion for the blues, and this EP showcases it.
