I have always felt like life has a soundtrack to just about anything we do. If its sad, happy, excited or serious, the music can adjust to almost any setting. I use personal experience to fuel some of my music, but i also take those experiences and extend them into unique and creative situations in order to come up with even more complex songs or situations. For example, you break up with your bf/gf. You take that emotion you feel, lets say its sad like a letting go feeling, you funnel that emotion into the song with the way the instruments come together, and once that song comes into play it is perfect for the soundtrack to a movie where a major battle is lost and the general is watching his land get taken over by the enemy. They are not the exact same emotion, but they can relate well through music. That's what i try to do best. Make music where people can close there eyes, and put just about any scene they want to it within the setting and have it flow perfectly. Weather its soundtrack music or dance music, its all connected! People say to me, "how do you know so much about all this stuff?" By stuff they are relating to the music making. I tell them i have a unique combination of Musician, Computer nerd and Director. I love movies and make short films with friends all the time. So i can feel dramatic scenes played out in my head no problem. I use those thoughts and creative ideas and play them out through my music skills such as a piano or program. That's where the computer nerd comes in. I love video games, video editing and anything to do with computer software or design. That's why when it comes to music, i can easily relate to the many new programs out there today and build what i want within the program and make it sound perfect. I don't know how to read music, failed music theory and only play by ear and memorization. I think that a true musician doesn't have to know any certain way to play or take lessons, if they can feel the music, it will come to them naturally.
