Los Angeles, CA: Shiragirl, Well known for literally crashing Kevin Lyman’s Vans Warped Tour in 2004, the band kicked off their Warped dates in Camden, NJ on July 16. “What a great launch to the tour,” gushes Shira. ““Warped is like my extended family…it's punk rock summer camp. We did a bunch of press, the crowd was amazing and we loved hanging out with the other bands. Shiragirl’s legacy lives on!”

The very next day, Shiragirl rocked the Babes Burnin’ Rubber to end breast cancer event in Millville NJ. This event was created by Conquer Entertainment and was held in in Millville, NJ. Proceeds from the event benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation and breastcancer.org. “Anything we can do to help raise awareness is beneficial. We finished our song that we wrote with Swizz Beatz production team especially for this event…it’s called ‘Stomp It Out.’ It’s a really fun, positive, upbeat song with a statement. Our goal is to help end Breast Cancer, and with more research and people coming together to be proactive.” Shiragirl did so well at this event that the band was invited to play the Oct 2 Susan Komen “Race for the Cure” event at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey.

 “We started off early with a performance of ‘Stomp It Out,’ followed by a workshop teaching a stomp dance we created just for the event. Shira is a classically-trained dancer, among her many other talents. “I was wearing a custom pink ribbon dress created for me by sponsor Delicious Corsets from Philly. And we also world-premiered the Lil Wayne ‘Stomp It Out’ remix!”

Shiragirl also announces the exclusive Lil Wayne rap featured on DJ Remix of “Stomp it Out," which will be Shiragirl’s next single. The Lil Wayne remix of "Stomp It Out" can be heard here: http://www.myspace.com/shiragirl. Shiragirl’s highly-anticipated album Scream! Spit! Sing! will be released on August 6.
