April’s End is a heavy, melodic, alternative, and incredibly delicious band from New York. Their refreshing blend of alternative metal has given them an accessible sound enjoyed by many fans of heavy music. The band’s intense live show and superb song writing abilities have made them a popular act among the tri-state hard rock and metal scene. April’s End consists of Cyrille Robes on vocals, Daniel Buquicchio on guitars/vocals, JayR Castillo on bass/vocals, and Danny Lysogorski on drums. Their new EP titled “A Break Through Sorrow” consists of five catchy and melodic songs all written and produced by the band in a basement studio built from the ground up. April’s End has sparked an intense interest from the younger generation of heavy music fans who generally pack out venues for the Vans Warped Tour, Taste of Chaos, and the Rockstar Mayhem Festival. Although the band does not wish to align themselves with a particular genre or scene, fans of Flyleaf, Killswitch Engage, Bullet for My Valentine, and Atreyu have all taken a liking to the band’s beautiful brutality.

Press Release:
A Break Through Sorrow kicks off with One Chance, possibly the band’s catchiest and most melodic song to date. After one listen, it will be impossible to let the chorus of One Chance escape your mind. The second song, Push, is the EP’s heaviest and “most metal” offering. Inspired by Swedish melodic metal acts such as In Flames and American metal kings Killswitch Engage, Push is sure to win over hardcore metal heads and draw in fans of alternative rock because of the song’s riff orientation, powerful vocals and accessibility. The third track, Break Through Sorrow, is the EP’s most eclectic song and features an acoustic bridge that sends shivers down the spine. Tranquility is an acoustic interlude arranged by guitarist Daniel Buquicchio and serves as a gateway to the final track, No Other Way. Sigh’s emotionally driven lyrics and Dan’s spot on rhythmic guitar work on No Other Way serve as a perfect complement to each other. April’s End has created a five song gem that will rock the music industry and take alternative metal to new heights. Each song serves as a way to uplift listeners and help them escape from the pressures of reality.

A Break Through Sorrow was recorded, mixed, and mastered by JayR Castillo of Box Sketch ( www.BoxSketch.com ) in Brentwood, NY.
