 In 2008 musician/producers Chris Lauer , Brian Holtz and Jason Hurley set forth to make a record that featured their unmistakable brand and approach to rock and roll. The hope was that their unspoiled sound would change the way people looked at the music industry's commercial blueprint. Fully equipped with their arsenal of musical chops, ideas, and studio prowess, they produced a record with solid grooves, pounding choruses and inspiring arrangements, while maintaining an addicting body of work. The result is a 10 song collection that will hook you, leaving no holes to fill and craving another listen.
A product of the San Francisco Bay area music scene, this power trio originally hit the circuit as "The Naked", developing their live chops and flair for the dramatic. After the band dissolved, they began to develop their skills as producers. Running a small studio out of Martinez, Ca., they were now pounding stages under the name "The Underground". During the process of working with and developing a handful of local artists, they hit their stride in the studio. It was here that their sound manifested. While applying the principles they preached to their own music, the songs spilled from their instruments and launched a fresh sound uncontrolled. It wasn't a matter of how many or how much. It was just a matter of which ones and how soon. They hit the studio hard, honing visions of the perfect sound. On May 5th, 2008 their self titled debut, Highrise Circus, hit the marketplace.
